This is a blog mostly about my addiction to hoyas but I also grow orchids and other houseplants as well so I will be posting about them too. I am just a normal grower with no greenhouse. I grow most of my plants outside in the summer and in front of a window in the winter. I want to maximize my growth and try to get some blooms out of these hoyas and orchids.

Hoya Imperialis var Rauschii
This plant is one of the fastest growing hoyas I have. I got this one in 2010 from Joni at SRQHoyas. I used to have a pink Imperialis but it lost all it's leaves and died for some reason. I also have mosaic but it only has 2 leaves and it is showing some new growth. I let these plants sit out when it rains and they seem to love it.

Thanks, I am flattered you like my blog. I keep my Hoya Imperialis on my bottom deck with other water-loving hoyas. I make sure it doesn't dry out by hosing it down if we don't get rain. It loves rain water too. I do not keep it under a roof, it is out in the open to receive as much rain as we get.
